Dr Phil scraps Britney Spears show
Video psychologist Dr Phil McGraw has scrapped plans to air a show close to troubled pop isaac Bashevis Singer Britney Spears after he was criticised for visiting her while she was in hospital.
John Joseph McGraw visited Spears at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, after she was admitted for an evaluation following a detention dispute at her home.
Several other counsellors later accused the therapist of breaching the singer's privacy by visiting her at the infirmary.
All the same, John Joseph McGraw said yesterday, in an interview with 'The Early on Show', that he visited Spears "at the request of her fellowship".
He claimed that the singer's mother, sister and chum "were very frustrated that she manifestly wasn't going away to be held (in hospital) for a longer time period of fourth dimension."
John McGraw said that he had planned to tape a show on yesterday, stressing that the evidence would not have explored the rag side of Spears' problems, but or else would have focused on other issues surrounding her caseful.
"Clearly, it is not hardly Britney's kin struggling to regain a way to protect adult children world Health Organization cannot be ordered or compelled to seek help oneself," he said.
The television system psychologist also said: "Because the Spears state of affairs is likewise intense at this clip, and come out of the closet of thoughtfulness to the family, I take made the decision non to impress forwards with the tape."
McGraw said that details of his visit to Spears would stay common soldier.
The singer was released from hospital at the weekend.
